This Wednesday, February 1 at noon, computer scientist Dr. Matt Ginsburg will be speaking about Dr. Fill, a program that solves crossword puzzles using a technique called constraint satisfaction. Dr. Fill is ranked as one of the top 50 crosswords solvers (human or automated) in the world.

This talk is intended to be accessible to students from CS 60 onwards. (Those of you taking CS 60 might enjoy the connections to ideas that you’ll be seeing in Prolog soon!)

If you would like to join us, please go to the Survey Monkey site below by Tuesday at 10 PM to let us know that you’re coming and to tell us about your pizza preferences. We’ll serve pizza and drinks (and no need to use your mealcard).
